Madrid, the 16th of February, 2022.- COFIDES has joined the Business Network for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion (REDI) with the aim of strengthening and improving diversity management within the company. The agreement will provide access to the training, experience and support provided by REDI and its more than 100 member companies.

COFIDES was welcomed as a new partner company during today's 'REDI to embrace: the financial sector and diversity' meeting.

Since 2019, COFIDES' policy has been to ensure real and effective equal opportunities for all its employees. With REDI's assistance, the Company will be able to implement improvements in several areas of action, including avoiding discrimination in the workplace, supporting the improvement of the working environment, and preventing violations of individual rights against third parties.

The COFIDES chairman, José Luis Curbelo, highlighted the fact that "our aim is to take effective and practical steps so that all the people who provide services to the company are recognised and appreciated for their abilities and on a fully equal footing, and so that their careers, personal development and aspirations are not determined by prejudices of any kind. COFIDES' alliance with REDI will help to reaffirm our commitments in this regard".

Óscar Muñoz, co-director of REDI, said: "Being able to welcome these new companies today is a source of pride. It is also a huge step as regards the recognition of the importance of LGBTI inclusion in the professional environment of our country, and reaffirms REDI's position as a key forum in this area. These are 27 new companies that are willing to demonstrate their commitment to creating safe workplaces for all people, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression".
