COFIDES will finance the construction of a new Reiner production plant in Poland. This is the announcement made by COFIDES Chairman Salvador Marín and Reiner’s Managing Director Javier Igarza, who have signed today the contract for a seven-year 1.1 million euro co-investment loan.

The whole operation amounts to nearly 1,422,000 euro, for the construction of a plant in Miekivinia (Wroclaw, a Lower Silesia region), where decorative and technical plastic parts for the household electrical appliances and automobile production will be manufactured. Reiner, founded in Deba (Guipúzcoa) in 1928, has been active in Poland since 2008. The current plant is insufficient to face the increasing production volume reached by the company in the last few years. This has urged the company to build a new plant meeting Reiner’s business requirements in Poland.

Following the agreement’s signature, the first one to be executed between COFIDES and Reiner, Salvador Marín highlighted COFIDES willingness to support internationalisation of small- and medium-sized companies. “Reiner is already settled down in Poland and we feel very proud to contribute to this company’s expansion”, remarked Marín. He further stated that “this is no doubt one more example of the internationalisation strategy for development traced by our reference partners.”
